Singer Magic

This engineering marvel is a hand cranked sewing machine, made in 1927. I do have a modern sewing machine, but it aways gives me trouble. This old machine is very reliable, very strong and of course, it requires no electricity, so it can be used on the boat.

I bought it for sewing canvas goods, and making sail repairs. Recently I have been experimenting with making bags for didgeridoos, carry bags, and yesterday I made a cushion for the boat lounge. Making cushions is hardly exacting work, but I needed to determine how to instal zippers into cloth.

What I have discovered is that sewing is easy.

What should I make next?
