There is 1000 litres of water in the storage tanks which is used for drinking, washing, showers, cooking etc. I decided to have a look inside the tanks. So....four hours later, I had taken the steel covers off the tanks, drained them with a pump and I have started to remove calcified deposits from the walls of the tanks. These deposits build up from minerals in the water.
Tomorrow and Monday, I will take my high pressure cleaner down to Cullen Bay and clean the tanks, reseal the covers, check the filler pipes, breather tubes, pumps and general plumbing.
And, I was going to have a quiet day!
