New Saloon Table

The old saloon table was a little too small for four or five people to dine at. Also, it had 'fiddle rails' around its perimeter. These rails are generally fitted to prevent things sliding off onto the floor in a swell or rough seas. The problem with fiddle rails is that when sitting at the table, the rails make resting one's arms on the table, uncomfortable.

I reasoned that there was no need for the rails as I generally would only use the table whilst at anchor in sheltered waters. So I made a bigger table with nicely rounded edges which can comfortably seat 4 to 6 people. I have two extra chairs which are normally kept in a cupboard, and which can be unfolded and placed at the table for guests.
