Time Passes So Quickly.

Time should not be wasted, because there is so little of it allotted to each of us. My Girl and I have been in love for two years and it seems as though we have only just met. Her parents are about to celebrate 50 years of marriage.

It seems like only yesterday that I was sitting on the lawn with my older brother, displaying our family dog's new pups for Mum's camera. But this was almost 40 years ago. There were no computers, no fax machines, no remote controlled TV's, no VCR's, no digital cameras, no mobile phones and not so much crime. We used typewriters, telex machines, listened to the radio, and stood up on the bus or train to give our seats to women who were standing. Motor cars did not have seatbelts, and we would all look up at the sky when a jet powered passenger aeroplane flew overhead.

Australia had a very strong culture which had not been hijacked by the influence of American TV and the world was largely at peace. We ate good food and nobody had heard of McDonalds' awful hamburgers. How things have changed.

But I still like the world, I love Australia and I love Japan....I will return to Japan in April. I can't wait!
