The Cockpit #3

Then, I mixed some epoxy with micro balloons to make a soft fairing compound which I used to finish and shape the curves, before applying the first coats of paint.

There are two coats of primer, one of undercoat and over all of that, two coats of white polyeurethene.

When that was dried and cured, I replaced the steering pedestal, which I had moved forward to allow for more room behind the helm, and glued a sheet of rubberised cork non-slip to the sole.
